is there a way to tell if a ECU is smartlock or not. i need one for an ea that i put a multi point motor in it also has a 4 speed and no smartlock. i found one thats out of a Eb but the owner is not shore if it was smart lock or not can u tell by the number or other marking's??? or if some one has one kickin around thay wanta get rid of let me know .

Ask him what year his EB is... EB and early EBII's were without the smartlock feature.
I don't really know much about the actual numbers. Heres one out of a wagon without smartlock, EBII : 91DA-12A650-KC Cheers
