Hi,
I've recently swapped an ED over from a Manual to a Auto and want to know if I'll need an Auto ECU to run the transmission or should the Manual ECU also be capable of this? If a member has a suitable one they'd like to sell let me know (I live in Victoria). I think one with a catch code of 3DBC would be what I want. Also if anyone wants to buy the Manual ECU let me know. Cheers, Anthony EDIT: Fixed the typo (I'm looking for a ECU that will change gears in an Auto.) the manuel version is 3DAC the XR6 version is 2DAD but fitting a J3 chip would be an easier and quicker way to do it.. link to J3 chips >> viewtopic.php?f=21&t=68577

Thanks the J3 chips look interesting but I'm not wanting to spend much on the car because as soon as I clean it up a bit I'll be selling it (bought it just to get the manual gearbox).
So I will need to do something to the ECU or swap it over? Or should it be working and I've got a problem with something else? |

i have an ed auto ecu that u could have cheap... 30 + shipping or u can pick it up... i actualy have a while ed if u need anything to get the auto going

yeah thats the code i got 2 of them sitting in my cupboard at the moment and a el ecu but im using the eb11 police computer in my car at the moment but im looking for a 5 speed conversion to put in my car too i got the cross member and center console but need the pedel box the cable and wiring harness and gearbox etc

either that or if i find a complete car with a 5 speed i could drve it before i put the gearbox in then id know if it was good and no noises etc? but 5 speed ea to au falcons are not cheap or are rare to find
