Can anyone tell me whether the EF and EL V8 ecus are interchangable? Many, many moons ago, someone told me they weren't because there was a difference in the thermofan wiring. I've recently been told by someone else that they are using an EL EEC in an EF without any problems.
Can someone please clear this up for me?

The Thermos is the only issue, and i believe it is only 2 pins on the ECU.
Pete (XR9UTE) should be able to confirm, flick him a PM and see what he says Brett

He has posted similar in the past.
Another diff is if the EL has SSPS - e.g. LTD or Fairlane. V8's had SSPS as well as the I6's ???
