its not all highway i can go from tweed heads to newcastle and still have a and the tripe computer says ill get over 200ks left thats siting on 100 with a few runs up to 140 and with air on

its a el s1 xr8 manual
and it doesnt really matter if i take it easy 350 is about the limit
everything is stock except exhaust and air filter
thats with about 38psi in tyres"

so this is quite normal im gathering, with 8's?
still doesn't make a difference with filters changed and sensors - getting 340-370 per tank optimax/ultimate. I think that's piss poor! f**k these fuel prices! mite convert to a rice box for the economy! :shock:

sif, just go gas!
rice boxes are too small inside.

mines auto,I think 3.08 diff lsd-lsd for sure , diff ratio? and use 2 sticks and average driving -meant for phong but soul is ok to.check your motor- compression -if ok,good then your timing unfortunately you have to look at all the bits,start with the motor-if ok -then all the bits

well the car is at the mechanics at the moment. gotta get the steering fixed but my mate said he'll check the fuel line too to see why she is running rough and why she hunts for idle in neutral and park but not in Drive.

my fuel eco started to go bad when the i changed the fuel filter because the old was blocked. so now there is more fuel coming into the system but something else is faulty and causing the petrol to just dissapear. we suspect stuffed injectors. rooted fuel regulator or fuel return line is blocked as well. they'll give me a feed back when i go and pick up the car later on tonite or tomorrow.

i dunno if this helps anyone but i did find something that may be causing the problem

split fuel tank breather line i think it is, just where it connects to the underside of the intake manifold

anyways will replace and see if anything gets better

phongus, not sure if you got your car back yet or not but i found out what was wrong with mine, the vacume hose to the map sensor was split right at the end down the bottom, i did a diagnosis after work an sure enough it was the map sensor.

ahhh okai thanks adrian`. i got my car back but they didnt get a chance to check my car because my steering problem had to be fixed and took some time. I dont think my map sensor is stuffed because i swapped it with my EA map sensor.......if they both are stuffed then that would be the problem. but im going to pull the sparkies out, change oil filter and change oil. pull out the TB clean that and ISC then pull out Fuel rail replace my fuel reg, check my injectors or just get them cleaned and also my fuel return line........my one month of holidays i think is more then enough time to do all that. oh and also oxy sensor needs to be replaced.....going all out once i sell my EA in pieces.
