Hello to all.
Ater doing the engine (only the engine. both 5 speed auto ) swap. The car worked perfect and heaps faster.
I decided to install the icc unit from the doner car. Along with this i changed the ecu, bcm, ignition module, keys and even the seat belt restraint system.
Everything powered up fine and the engine stared.
Later i noticed the car in limp mode.
The speedo wasnt working. The selected gear flashes on display. Everything else worked fine... The stereo later turned off then the aircon turned on to full irrespective of where dial points.

The auto is good. new oil, correct oil type and at correct level. The plug on auto was sloppy and has been addressed.
All other connections have been checked and double checked.
Failly sure if i can get speedo to read then it will leave limp mode and all will be sweet.
I have no error codes and no service light
ANY IDEAS PLEASE... IM DOING MY NANA ON THIS ONE!

Can you clarify the situation?, BA's never had 5 speed autos so if you have put a BF 5 speed ECU it will be freaking the hell out.

Bf's didn't have 5 speed autos either. Either 4 or 6 speed autos

6 speed was an option that was available in bf models, whether it was series 1 or 2 I'm not sure
