hi guys,
i am in the market for a run around car again and im thinking an EB. Can anyone tell me, what they are like on fuel? Mainly highway driving but city as well..

probably 400-500 city im guessing.. my ef gets around 450km toa tank of hard driving dunno about p***y footing.. lol

i go from wonthaggi to dandenong every day, doin 95-100kph i get bout 650k to 60lts, i don't use cruise control, i lose bout 100 per tank with it on. don't know why but i do.
but i have been known to go thou a tank in 220ks of heavy throttle work

If you choose an EB, go for EB II - 4.0L engine more refined than 3.9 in early EB's. Most problems of EB would be fixed, but go for an ED, as all problems and bugs were fixed, just my opinion. Fuel consumption should still be good - but these cars are reaching 13 yrs in age. Watch for high mileage and usual engine noises. Check the engine for head gasket replacement too.
