Hi,

I have a 94 ED Falcon futura, the fuel instrument reader in the fuel tank had a problem, so it was only displaying a Full tank of Fuel as 3/4.

So i had a spare EA fuel instrument reader, and put that in my ED Tank.

Now a Full tank of Fuel Reads OVER the Full Line by around 3 mm, and the guage is not accurate as it should be.

IT still shows the Low Fuel Emergency light when im low on fuel, but other then that, it doesnt give a consistant and accurate reading at before.

I thought i should change my Fuel Guage cluster to a EA fuel guage (as im using a EA fuel reader), but they dont seem to be compatable, as my ED has smartlock.

Can anyone give me any ideas what they think is directly causing the problem and a cheap fix?

cause i cant find a ED Fuel instrument reader anywhere.

Thanks!

my bad for not clarifying that.

an easy way to put it is:

the guage is not showing the correct level for the actual amount of fuel that is in the tank.
