Higher pressure can mean less flow, especially with a 12 year old fuel pump.
He isn't running higher pressure because he doesn't have a rising rate reg.
It would still be borderline IMO.
For less then $200, why take the risk?

If you are running 6-7psi, rail pressure is going to be over 100psi on full boost.
Thats alot of pressure.

ok i have another little quiestion? do i leave the original factory fuel pressure reg and just plumb it in after or do i knock the guts out of the standard one and just have it flow through... because if i have no vacuum in the intake manifold the original fuel pressure reg will remain closed and will make the new one useless??? just getting a little confused hope someone can help

Usually you just leave the stock reg as is, plumb the rising rate after it in the return line.
How'd you install it?
Alot of this has been covered in just about every turbo install thread, if you have a look through some of them you can learn alot and then not have to wait for other people to answer :)

with it connected like this it starts but barely runs and wont rev and coffs and splutters because it has no fuel... i disconnected the aftermarket fpr and just plumbed it in as normal and the car runs and revs ok but has no idea what to do on boost
