hi guys,

this is a question about fuel system upgrades. I have a AUXR8 with ported GT40X, ported explorer intake, 2.5" twin exhaust, and been mapped.

Is it worthwhile upgrading the fuel delivery. i am thinking a walbro 255 pump for starters, but what about fuel pressure regulator, anf fuel rails? i don't need bigger injectors (24lb) i don't think.

what is the std pump output?

cheers

std is weak. can't remember the exact figures, but the 255 is like 4 times the output. But you've hit the nail on the head with the regulator. Upgrading the fuel pump is all good and well to bring up the supply to the injectors, but you should also replace the regulator with an adjustable one, otherwise you're just circulating fuel, and heating it up.

24lb injectors should be fine.

thanks for that,

anyone know the correct PN# for the walbro 255 to fit AU tank?

Also what adj FPR would you recommend. Is it worth upgrading the fuel rails or are the std ones sufficient. I am also thinking of installing a pressure guage.
