My wife comes home today surprised that the fuel tank was filling over 70 litres. She, as I did, thought that the sedans have a 68 litre tank. But, the receipt says 70.13 litres @ $0.999/Litre.

According to Rach, she actually stopped it as it was continuing to add fuel above 70 litres.... according to the pump. Oh, and no leaks anywhere, no fuel gushing out, nothing.....

Are we correct in assuming 68 litres because if it is correct I will be paying a visit to the local 7 Eleven tomorrow....

Cheers
RD

Yeah, if taken to pretty much empty my EB s will take close to that (68l) but i have had the odd pump go over 70L before. I never bother making a big deal about it, i usually just mention it to the attendant and watch the stunned/p****d off look on other the customers faces as i walk out.

The attendant cant do anything about it anyway, and they won't give you any money off just because you say your tank is 68L. Its better to just say the pump is wrong in front of allot of people in the servo and let word of mouth take its toll.

Thanks for that info, I will go down to the station tomorrow. The boss man (owner) is always there training another immigrant attendant. Should be intersting to see his reaction and I will definitely make sure there are other customers in the place when I do it :)

Same 68L. I don't think there was ever a differant tank avalible for the EB sedan.

Pretty sure you can report fuel stations that you suspect that have dodgy flow readings.

Another idea would be to get a 20L Jerry can and see how many litres it would take to fill 20L. Lets say even if the pump is out by 5% you will notice it.

If you meant "can flex", not "can't flex"... that was in the back of my mind too, Especially on *really* hot days....
