Lift Carpet up
Remove plate (like 8 or so screws)
Use a wooden dowel and a mallet and bang the screw ring open anti clockwise (it will be tight)
Disconnect plugs (then start the car to relieve fuel pressure if necessary)
Use 2 small screwdrivers or similar to unclip the fuel lines. It has the more modern plastic housing compared to the earlier EL's that have a metal housing. Normal fuel line removal tools wont fit on.
Lift out the entire housing, you can either buy a complete new pump & housing or just the pump and filter sock. In which case I think its just a cable tie or hose clamp holding the pump in place with a rubber dampener around it.
Reverse order to install, just make sure the filter sock sits in the tank properly.

I think thats the way anyway, its been a couple years since I did mine.

If you are handy making home made tools, make a fuel pump retaining ring removal tool. I made one out of aluminium...doesn't work well being aluminium but it made it much easier than the old fashion mallet and wooden dowel!

Proper tool looks like this

home made tool can be made to look something like this

Good luck!

Coming in late, but: whatever you do DON'T USE A FUELMISER PUMP!!!

If I was wealthy enough I'd take those F&^%$ERS to court for supplying dangerously flawed product...

I fitted a Fuelmiser pump to my EF and it nearly killed my family a couple of times thru quitting in the middle of traffic and intersections etc. Took ages to realise it was the ^%$# near NEW fuel pump at fault.

Fitted a VDO Pump (cheaper from Auto 1 than the ^%$#ing Fuel miser one was from Ripco) and nearly 4 years later with no problems whatsoever...
