Hi All, i am looking for an IAT plug and loom from an AU V8, what i was wondering IS, will an XR6 one work the same? i have a guy who will sell me it for $5 but theres no point if it doesnt work, Not the sensor itself but the plug/loomm for it (as i am modifying my AU IAT to work with my ED loom.

Nope sorry Xf dude,
AU 4.0's use a TMAP sensor which is a combination of M.A.P and Temperature sensors as does everything else from AU-up.
So it's a 3pin connector instead of two.

Oh ok, so either way i wire it up, it's not going to make a difference? Just out of curiosity, what colour wire is + on the injector harness for the IAT plug?

Stick you multimeter in the plug and you'll see which one has +5V.

Do you know what side of the AU plug is positive though? I can work out the E series, but i need to know what side of the plug goes to what wire on the E series....if your following. Cheers

I made up my own plug, found one on an XR6 that was the same shape, then sanded off the guide fins on the sensor itself so it fit on. So wire colour prob doesn't mean much. It's in my build thread if you wanna see it though, i did a photoshop of it, possibly page four i think, near the top. What i was thinking is, i can just connect it up and always change it, is there anyway i will be able to tell if it is working correct or if it isn't? Worst comes to worst i'll just biff the E series one in the same spot, but that will require some more modding.
