the other week i got my fuel injectors cleaned and a general tuen up which consisted of new fuel filter, air filter clean, inspection of spark plugs and leads and check and adjust timing. and oil change.
yes timing change on a ef, i questioned it too but he recons he done it on the computer dont know if he was pulling my leg or not. but the resault was car is more responsive an better on fuel, at least 1L / 100km better on the highway.

Yeah pulling your leg, timing is computer controlled and cannot be altered on the EF 6cyl's unless you install a permenant J3 chip like a chiptorque etc.

I assume for $160 the injectors were removed from the car and reconditioned, you have to be carefull they dont just put some $20 cleaner through the fuel lines and charge you full reconditioning price. Overall it is an expensive service especially if they just inspected and cleaned things like plugs, leads, air filter and didn't actually replace them all, and even if they did its on the expensive side, but considering the price of petrol these days you and reduction will save you in the long run.
