I believe their is a bit of a debate at the moment on whether SHELL OPTIMAX or BP ULTIMATE is better or worse for your Falcons. Well I must say I have started using BP Ultimate in the last 2 weeks, after using Shell Optimax for the past 2 years and I have found the Ultimate has made my Idle a lot smoother. For "seat of your pants"power. Well it seems to be the same as when I used Optimax. But with Fuel economy I have worked out that I got a little bit more with the Optimax. Theirs my 2cents worth :D :D

I certainly can second (third?) that exactly! :D Optimax for econ, Ultimate for a smooth runner... Depends if I'm rich or poor when I fill up... And if 91RON is $1.03 or 89.9....

Ive always used BP ultimate for my previous car and the current one, both have run very nicely off of it to. Bad thing is thou atm its about $109.9/L *ouch*

Still, i put in $25 worth of it the other day and so far i have got 190kms out of it with stil about 5-10L left b4 it hits the orange section on the petty gauge.

Pretty good if you ask me. Also using Octane boost too.

Your getting screwed??? try only one servo in town, Shell, either ULP, or Premium(95RON), premium is $1.24. ULP is $1.18., got no choice here.

I've always ran my V8 on ultimate and I have no Complaints.

About 3 weeks ago I was driving my wifes VW Golf and I filled it with Ultimate, I told her I filled it and I didn't think it was a big deal that I put Ultimate in it, so I didn't tell her.

Two days later she was telling me how well her Car was idling and how it seemed to have more go.

I told her about the Ultimate and she said she normally gets the Cheap hose.

Hows that for a Blind fold test. :D

I find out of all the diffrent fuel's that are avalible now they do make your car run either like a bat out of hell or a bucket of s**t and now I'll rank the fuel in performance wise,
1.BP ULTIMATE
2.MOBIL SYNERGY
3.VORTEX,MOBIL PREMIUM 96RON,BP PREMIUM 95RON
4.OPTI(CRAP)MAX
5.ANY UNLEADED THATS FROM 1 OF THE ABOVE

As most of you guys know the cost of fuel is on the rise AGAIN so shop around as 2cents-14cents diffrence in diffrent area's not just coles & woolies but every servo will compeate especially if thers's more then 3 in a 500m area

Gee why did you rate Optimax that Bad. I have never had any issue with it except the idle is a bit rough and thats why I use Ultimate now. But I found I have a better seat of your pants power gains than the rest. I have found the old Vortex did absolutely nothing and made me engine idle even more hesitiant than Optimax.

Ultimate truly is the fuel of kings!! I've paid up to $1.28/L during the *real* bad spell we had a while ago. At that price you think twice about boosting up, but usually ends in same result

Fuel usually a little more expensive in my area for some reason. Damn car guzzles as well.

At the moment i run the EL on Mobile Synergy, before that i was using optimax, and it would ping under any load on a warm day. Since using Synergy it hasnt done it once, and the ecomomy has been better. Power, well it feels more responsive to me, but at a guess they are at a par.

I will give BP a good two week run as of next week to see what happens.
