Hi guys,

Bought these two relays from internet and my car model is 1997 Ford Falcon GLi EL.

My questions are:
1. whether these are suitable relays to replace the old ones (show in picture 1)
2. how to unpin the green and brown relays? i looked from underneath seems those wires are melted in bottom? Please advise. Thanks in advance, Nick.

Photo 1 is the two relays my car current has, they're underneath coolant tank attached a reddish metal plate.
Photo 2 is the two relays i bough for Fuel Injection (left) and for Fuel Pump (right)

the only part i can help you with - is the two relays you want to remove are possibly corroded in .... which will make them hard to remove .. all i can think of to help remove em is a small flat bladed screwdriver, wd40 & elbow grease...... - try & scrape some of the corrosion off with screwdriver & then spray some wd40 on connectors. then using elbow grease try 'wiggling' the relays loose [may need to hold cables]. may help/may not

The relays unclip by opening the blck tab you show in your second post pic.

The Black/Brown and Black/Green sections are what unplugs. They will be tight from age and possible corrosion but should come apart. They will not move unless you release the tab.

Both Factory Relays are 4 pin with different tabs internaly so that they can't be switched.

The 5 pin relay you have won't fit and I am not sure about the 4 pin as they are both aftermarket and I only use the Ford relays (know that they work).

Why are you wanting to change they anyway?

By the way, the green one is for the ECU, not Fuel Injection.
