Hi all i,ve got a problem that,s driving me nut,s I have a 94 fairmont gia which blew the centrol locking box I replaced it but now nothing happens I,ve followed the advice on the forums here to reset it but still nothin. the smartlock light on the dash deosn,t even come on. I,ve discovered that my car has the greem bem box as well as the centrol locking box. if I leave the car for 30 mins as suggested by the forums members the car will start but then won,t start again i,m wondering if it,s the ecu the problem occured when my mate removed the stereo and I wonder if maybe he shorted something out as this problem only occured after this. does anyone have any suggestions as I really need the car

do u still have an interior light? if not replace the crt fuse under the rh side of the dash. have u recoded the central locking remote yet? maybe something to do with it too.
i have tried a couple of bcm's in my el and only 1 out of 3 actually did what it was supposed to do, thinking the others may have faults.
