sam, if the engine and exhaust is looking pretty stock, would you mind finding out what diff ratio he's using cause I've been waiting for some1with like 3.7's to see how it effects acceleration, sounds to me like this could be the case. it would explain the poorer fuel economy than mine (and I don't drive conservatively at all)

16 inch 215 tyres, single spinner, everything standard except for the stuff in my sig. (well actually, i've never actually checked to see if I have an LSD but I doubt it due to its inability to take fast corners well). However I'll check.

nah he is lucky to get 300k to a tank if he flogs poo out of it - i think 250 :O. well his is bog a** stock xt narooma blue rental. so if yours wont do it either you arent holding your mouth right or your car has something wrong with it he he.

Think there might be something wrong with his car... I dont take my car out of 1st or 2nd when Ive gotta be somewhere, revving it right out to 6000rpm, and at least every week I let it go for a run on 200kmh for a while... I use not that much petrol

I take it to 6000 average once a day and accelerate usually faster than ne1 else. I don't really speed however but my driving habits would get me low as 440 if i'm really bad. This may sound stupid but are you sure it isn't the v8 xt?

When I get my car custom tuned next week, I will havta find out if I get all the torque limiters etc taken off.. that should make a hugh difference if I can do it. And I get to find out how much power my car is putting out...........

You should be very close to 200rwkw with that setup. All you BA boys should also be able to do decent burnouts even in a stock XT - neither of mine have a problem smoking it up.

Maybe it has to do with the different factory programming. Cos when I bought my flash tuner they needed the code on my computer. The guy at CAPA told me the factory programing varies a fair bit... It is like having traction control....
