at what revs is the factory rev limiter set to on an EB? my EB is dual fuel so i assumed it didn't have one due to the gas. but last night i believe i hit a limiter. so i was just wondering

Rev limit is set at 5000rpm & fuel cutout is 5400rpm. The rev limit was increased to 5700rpm with the EF/EL. These specs are for stock engines.

i'm guessing it was fuel cut out then. started "popping" at 5400

Was the car running on petrol or gas at the time?

Looks like the fuel cutout is the cause. Do you push the rev limiter much? I've seen a couple of engines with conrods through the block from over-revving.

nah i don't. it doesn't have a rev limiter i guess seeings as it freely went to 5400.

i just did a 3000rpm clutch dump and it spun (of course) and went right up to 5400 then started popping, so i snagged 2nd cog
