I need some help with the following, I have found a place that can remove the security from a BA\BF ecu\pcm to allow it to start the engine without all the other BA computers being attached.

Now this means that i can run a BA engine in my AU, but what i can't seem to find out anything about is whether or not the AU ECU will function properly without the engine being present?

What would I have to have disabled\changed in the AU ECU to allow it to operate the rest of the car (BEM, ABS etc)?

so effectivley i would be running the engine from the BA unit and the remainder of the car from the AU computer.

Would this work?

the au ecu pretty much only controls engine and trans...(not sure about A/C) the bem controls most of the other stuff....u shouldnt have too much problems adapting it...

what are your plans? do u want to run a BA eng?

who can do the BA security mods/ what sort of dosh u looking at to get it done?

Yeah I am looking at running a BA or BF xr6 turo engine in my AU, what i was thinking of was running the AU ECU without the engine so i wouldn't have to adapt the other systems.

the place i have been talking to is FTG, not sure about the dosh at this point shouldn't be too much.

So do you recon the AU ECU could be modded to run without the engine attached?
