Smart lock module for EB2-ED is now no longer availible from ford,
and since mine is playing up I need to know if anyone can think of any options for me besides bypassing it which I've already done, but this does create an insurance issue.

I guess ford think we can all afford to buy BA's :evil:

You could try the wreckers, I'd like smartlock, I have an EB2 (July) can you just get the module and plug it into the ECU or doesn't it work like I want it to.

Just change back to a pre 1992 EB ECU and bypass the starter relay on the BEM if you want to bypass it.

Otherwise there are PLENTY to be had from the wreckers.

After a lenghy talk with ford in melbourne it turns out they are still available (they have 160 in stock) one digit in the part number changed so all the dealers assumed they were obsolete.

The new part number for those who are interested is ED15k602A
Price is $380rrp.
