does anyone know what the DEADHEADED fuel pressure is on a stock ELXR8 pump, I believe mine may be rooted , only 45psi deadheaded now where I have run the regulator to over 50psi a few months ago.

Sounds like it needs to be changed. I run base fuel pressure of 50psi and whe the return line crimped I have had it to 90psi.

I also killed a pump within minuted when i accidentally hooked up my fuel lines backwards after a motor swap.

Good luck with the fuel pump locking ring.

still haven't changed it yet, but the signs are surging at idle, and fouling the drivers side spark plugs within 15 minutes, the spark side of things is awsome, the only other thing I feel it could be is the hego on the drivers side but I have been tipped that ,if the fuel pump isn't keeping up properly the ecu will run in some type of mode to keep the engine from leaning out.
and yeah the ring to remove it well............ thats why its still in the car, but I gotta sort it out this weekend to trade her in, or sell it if someone gets in quik enough!
