I know this topic has been covered before.

I would like to know is it possible to convert a straight petrol NL Fairlane (with a 4.0L engine) to straight gas.

As far as I know, the fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel filter would have to be removed. The spare tyre well would have to be removed and boot floor sealed off.

Can three scuba tanks from a wagon be fit under the boot floor and fitted that way?

This means I can run the fuel gauge and trip computer off just the LPG system and the LPG filler goes where the petrol tank used to be.

On sedans no one i kow of will fit it where it used to be, the tank will have to go in your boot. I have an ea on straight gas. The tank is in the boot, it reads on the same fuel gauge and the filler is in the same spot as the old petrol one was..

There is no necessity to remove your petrol stuff to run straight gas, it can be left there and not used.
as for tank options, can get a donut tank for the spare wheel well or remove the petrol tank and have one fitted there.
aside from that it's only some primer plunger thingo they have to fit inorder for the LPG start, and the gauge isn't hard to hook up.

depends how legal u want it, vic roads state that if its gonna b straight gas it must be removed..
