Good to hear Matt...

Let us know how it goes... Haven't heard from anyone yet as to whether they've sorted it out...

I think its worth its weight in gold... well maybe 5 times its weight because its not very heavy...

So much easier than trying to guess what you're gonna replace first...

Cheers,
Tim

Hey Timmy,

I ended up using my tester twice on Friday just gone. Once on a car that is a customer of a mate, turned out to be a dud PIP. Then later that day my Eb Ghia died, tested it & yep, the PIP was stuffed.

I swapped in a new dizzy & it's up & running again. This tool that I purchased from you saved me heaps of time & money, well worth the purchase!

Do you still have one or could you make one up? I have a trade customer very very interested in it, after my demonstration of how quickly you can diag the Ford TFI systems.

Cheers

g'day jay,

that's good to hear... I suppose a dead pip does just justify swapping the whole dizzy out... Buy the time to get it apart and change the pip and then get it back together... First pip's i've seen die... Usually the tfi because the thermal paste disappears and it cooks itself... Or coil because it gets a split and fills up with water...

I still have unit here somewhere that didn't sell... I just have to solder the lead to the handheld part... I'll chase that up for you if old mate wants one...

Positive feedback is always good... Glad they're living up to their reputation... :D

Cheers,
tim

Your welcome dude.

That's what I was thinking, PIP usually doesn't fail, but mine did, and funnily enough the EL I was testing earlier in the day also had a dead PIP. Changing the whole dizzy is easier, I could go get a new PIP & bush for my old dizzy & rebuild it, if I find the time & motorvation lol.

Send me a PM with your email address so I can pass your details on to the mechanic that is interested, and you can talk directly with him in regards to a unit.

Cheers

ToranaGuy

I'm currently having some TFI issues, with my XH I'm pretty sure, but have nothing to test it with.

Do you still have one of those testers? If so, I'd be very interested in buying it from you. :D

I know a couple of mechanics that would love to buy one as well, send me a pm if there are any for sale! I love mine, won't be selling it!

Cheers
