Hi,

I know a lot of you are now getting into the standalone ecu's and would like base maps to get closer to fine tuning(Like Me)...

Anyhow, upload your maps to a file host or whatever(Pm me if you would like access to one).

Give a description to what its tuned for and for what ecu. I will start with mine which was happily shared by tjb45.

Wolf 3d Base Map
Tuned for an EF running boost and 36lb injectors with 80psi fuel pressure.
Running the 36-1 input trigger setup for coil packs.

Right click and click save target as. Then open it in the wolf software.

The idea is to use the fuel and ignition maps for similar cars and setups to get a closer tune.

It would be great to get this thread up and running and give a good resource to those struggling to get there ems up and running(Like me again :P)
Cheers.

The EMS 8860 software comes with base maps for 4.0's and 5.0's. Its a free download.

Just got it then.. How do i convert kpa to load in order to interpret it?

I see the graph is Kpa vs rpm for ems, and load pt vs rpm for the wolf.

Im not sure how the wolf3d works out what "load" is. Most other ECU's use manifold pressure to represent load.

With my MS2 (the ecu im most familiar with), the kpa reading is just the pressure in the intake manifold. 0kpa = perfect vacuum, 100kpa is about atmospheric pressure (wide open throttle on a good NA engine), and anything over 100kpa is boost. Typical manifold pressures ("load") for my engine range from 20kpa to 100kpa.

The EMS uses the same measurement but kpa relative to atmospheric. so 0 kpa is atmospheric, positive kpa is boost, negative kpa is vacuum. Each 10kpa is about 1.5lb of boost or vacuum.

I looked at the screenshots it looks like a load of '43' is where boost starts? If so I guess a load of 43 on your maps is 0 kpa on the ems maps

The wolf load looks messy to me - no clear boost reference
