That would be great! Even if I could find out where to look in the hex and the format of the data, I could probably figure it out from there. Thanks for your help.

Yeah i have found a few scalars and functions that seem to control the fans on ef. Unsure of actual conversions just yet so its not ready to be released but it shouldnt be too long .

Just. A j3 chip Question. Can you get a tune for HP. Play and daily drive and a 2nd tune for torque when towing. And would that work with a mid range cam is stage 3 crow 2222549. Would like to go this way and I'm currently rebuilding my motor but worried it will wreck towing driveability. Thanks

You should not need two tunes for that application; a Stage 3 pre-tuned chip should be fine for both as they are different RPM and load points. You only really need a separate tune when variables change, ie. different fuels, boost levels, NOS etc.

Cheers,
Jason

Thanks Jason.
I have another question for you. I'm looking at the crow cams you sell. And would like to know why the 2232549 has 050" less lift than the 2222549 when they are the same grinds but for 1.8:1 (el-au) and 2:1 ( pre el) depending on what head you are running. I have a AU HP that's been Flowed and ported I would prefer to run it on my EF bottom end.
The durations full and @ 050" and LSA are the same just less lift.
Are the two cams equal or would I need to go to a stage 4 ( with more lift) cam to get the same performance from an AU head?
Thanks

I checked with Crow; the AU cam does have less valve lift due to the rocker ratio. Marty said to me the difference will not be noticeable with a cam of this size on an N/A motor.

Marty was going to come back to me with a recommendation for you, stay tuned. If you don't hear from me feel free to give Crow a call.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi mate,

Marty just advised me that he does not have any masters that would have that lift you require.

If you think the 2232549 doesn't have enough lift for your needs (Crow thinks it will), take a look at https://www.tiperformance.com.au/wp-con ... ofiles.pdf - we can order any of these in. Just shoot us an email/PM.

Cheers,
Jason

I am logging with a TechEdge wideband kit and GM 1-bar MAP sensor.

Both the MAP and TPS readings are cycling significantly (about 2 inHg MAP and 8% throttle) and at the same time about every 3.7 seconds.

What can cause this? Thanks.

The yellow is MAP and the red is TPS.

Sorry, forgot to state that this happens even without the engine running. MAP will cycle 27.6 to 29.3 inHgA.

Looks like either a signal earth issue, or problem with the Vref used by the sensors you're monitoring.

Time to get out the volt meter.

Cheers,
Jason

Good advice! The voltage at the sensors themselves is fine. I finally traced it to the turn indicator circuit. I removed all four indicator bulbs and the relay, and it still cycles, but removing the fuse stops the cycling. So, the problem probably isn't the indicator circuit itself. I suspect that the problem is with my Mongoose MAP1100G alarm system that is wired into the turn indicator circuit (to indicate arming/disarming).

Rather than try to remove the alarm myself, I will get an auto electrician onto it. If I try myself, the car will probably never run again :-).

Thanks for the help
