Does anyone know if certain pins can be used to determine which gear the auto is in, or other information such as speed, rpm and fuel level? I am thinking of making a custom display of this information, if possible, as opposed to using diagnostic mode.

thanks to anyone with information

get the gregories manual for your type of car, it has a whole electrical section describing what pins/wires sensors etc are located for certain things.
