I have this posted in the V8 forum and have had some welcome input, but thought that I'd pick a few more brains in the ECU section. Mods, please merge/move here if required.

I've ordered a Hall sensor assembly from Repco ($125) that arrives tomorrow. It appears that it will unbolt OK from the top if the dizzy, but after removing the sensor ring, how does the silver mounting plate underneath it pull off the narrow shaft? Help!
