:) gday guys,,im new but heres my problem.i think this is where i should post this question,,i had an elxr6 engine built..flowed head wit beefier springs,adj cam gear n re ground cam for more grunt around 2000rpm and the acl race series oversized pistons..i basicly plugged in all the ebxr plugs and dizzy etc..but i hav seen the doco on running elxr computer here and i went and got one..what i wanna knw is what do i do now :lol: i mean what bundle of wires do i need?,,i gna trick the ecu cos my eb is manual and i have seen tht doco..my car is smartlock etc...the only cars at wrecker i find have the big square conector at rear of manifold and eb..as u probly knw is a lil round plug,,i had it dynod as it is and with factroy exaust its 147rwkw,,i knw with your help i can squeeze more kw,,thanks :)

Not being a 6 cyl man myself, the only thing I can think of is....

Are you using an EB ECU harness and an EL engine harness?

If so, you'll probably need to fit an EB engine harness on, and from what I have been told by the guys here is the EB one will fit nicely.

are you using the el intake manifold the bbm thing or the normal ea/eb/ed manifold i can't see no reason it shouldn't plug straight in to the eb computer

Put the wire loom from the EB intake manifold onto the EL intake manifold.
You will need to shorten/lengthen maybe a few wires.

Once done with that run a wire from the ECU to the engine bay to switch the BBM.

yep im using all eb wires n dizzy etc,,i think ive got my wiring 4 el ecu sussd out after comaring the ecu pin docos n wiring diagrams in my eb book and my el book,,altho when i first hooked up the eb ecu it was complaining by giving me a mud idle,,but after i took engine out AGAIN to fix dam timing guides tht wer wearing prematurely(?)stil dont knw y they wer doin tht(?),,when i fired her up again she was mint,,thanks 4 your info guys,il post pics and other info when i can,,,,cheers
