hi every one, havnt been on here in a long time, but i just picked up a 87 telstar GL, in mint condition, the interior looks like new and the motor runs like a dream, only has 144xxxk/s on it.
anyway, to the point, i want to put A/C into it, was just wondering whats involved in taking the system out of a donor car and putting it into mine or if it's better to go for a universal system?

oh and there will be a build thread on it at some point as i plan on a TX5 turbo conversion :)

Your best bet is to goto the wreckers and pick up the parts you need.

Don't buy something over the counter as they will generally look at you silly or charge through the nose.
Atleast at the wreckers you can pick up all the factory hoses, electronics, condenser etc for the correct car.

If your not already involved, we use to have a tx5 forums ut that died.. just on facebook and join the telstar group :)
All willing to help out and have a bit of fun.
