Hi

Im having a problem with my drivers side power window in my ford capri. It wont go up or down but when you press the button you can hear the motor working. DO you know what would cause this?

I am not an expert on capri power windows, but it sounds like the clip on the end of regulator cable has snapped off.Did you hear a loud bang and is the window now in the lower position and now wont go up or down even though you can hear motor running?You may need to replace window regulator motor assembly with new unit (if you can find a new one that is), or get a working unit from wreckers,ebay etc.
