Pretty much been said.. need a decent intake setup being it a brand name pod filter or a known to work Cold Air Intake... a decent sized exhaust system a 3" possibly... a decent service from brand name plugs and leads and a 1 > 3 Psi boost increase after previous things have been done.

bty you cant stick a pod in these little beast because where are you going to put it because these have monster air filters in them as the afm is on the bottem of the round container for the air filter

i have rigged up a K+N pod filter from the stock airbox and removed the stock filter.... next is the intercooler.... any suggestions on what to get for it? ive been told ill only need a small 1

as said above is the best way to add performance to any turbo car.
but with the 2litre turbo they are abit of a no mans land with mods.. no one has really put money into it and found what the stock limitations are of the ecu etc.

I know it's a bit of a grave dig, but anyway...

My g/f's 88 Tx5 2.2 Turbo will go to 13psi before the stock ECU goes spastic & stops your fun. She has a larger intercooler, a 3" from the cat back, and a boost controller. Running @ 13psi, up from factory 7 or so psi, you notice a huge improvement. After that, next steps for her would be some head & cam work for more power, but then you have to start spending a fair bit.

There was an article on Autospeed about an early tx5 turbo, try these articles out.... Might give an idea of where to from the cheap mods if you wana go that far.

Who was this post aimed at? It's very off topic & you should have sent a PM to the person you were aiming this at.

Cheers

the 2 litre can be made to make decent power but not with standard engine management.

the 2.2 on the other hand can make pretty good power numbers and crazy nm.
my brother has a stock engine with a gtr turbo gt28r or sometihng... running an after market massive cooler and chipped stock ecu and makes 170fwkw on 12psi
