lol, tell him to open up the bonnet of his telstar then go look under the hood of a falcon, he will notice one HUGE difference in there, making this swap impossible.

He has much more chance of getting a mazda 2.5V6 in there

the falcon engine is rwd based engine ,telstar/626 require a fwd based engine, putting a falcon inline 6 into the telstar would require major reworking of ,the whole car, engineering, chassis etc, just put up with the 4cyl or v6 your car has or buy a falcon, dont put probe/taurus engine in car either...Vito.

your best bet would be to either trace down a f2t motor the 2.2 turbo.. cheapest bang for ya buck. or find a fe3 motor 2litre dohc 16valve it will run on a stock n/a f2 ecu. also very popular to turbo.

the klze motor is a pricey one.. it has been down into 323 and the likes. but you will need some time to work out mounts... you might be able to chop and change the mounts from different cars.

but in all seriousness tell your mate to stop dreaming about putting an au motor in unless he's willing to pay the extra money to widen the gearbox tunnel and make custom everything. and have the motor hanging through the dash.

also would be very very $$$$$ so unless he;s made of money i would stay away from it.

Thanks guys, I will pass it through to him. I think he had his heart set on getting an AU dropped in because I was going to get it done soon, he thought with that engine, with less weight, he could drag me off.

but with the money he would spend having it done.. he may aswell buy the falcon and mod it.
