that suprises me with you RWKW, cause according to my dyno results my EL is only pushing out 135rwkw but managed a 14.5 1/4mile time @152kph, can't remember 60ft times at the moment

thats a pretty good time, is your car manual?
oh and don't forget the el is much lighter then the fg thats why u don't need as much power to match its 1/4mile

grats on the time mate, I can only see it getting better. Theres a reason why the motoring mags love this car, its setup is so sweet. I havnt seen any journos chose the sv6 yet.

Have you had a chance to punt it around a track yet? thats where she will be at home.

goes to show how good the 6 speed is off the line.

my au with a 4 speed in stock form did 16.5 @ 89mph with a 2.6 60ft lol

but that was at heathcote which is a known slow track.

Not all cars are the same out of production people. one of the ford workers got the s**t and run the engine in hard for the very first time when he drove it to the marshalling yard a few k's down the road. I reckon that's the one you got you lucky bustard

Ford said at the launch of the FG that the standard outputs rose with both 95 & 98 octane.

98 RON was 'over' 200kW / 420Nm

As for the people questioning the torque output. That is because it has a torque convertor. It's function is to multiply the torque output and getting you off the line.

Lower gears get higher rwkw figures as well. This is because there is less rolling road resistance.

The 4th gear is a more accurate reflection for comparing apples to apples.

PS Great times too.

do a search on torque converters, they dont do that at all mate, what a torque converter will allow you to do off the line is raise the revs to about 2000rpm before taking off, it also has many other purposes..

also lower gears(on a dyno) wont give you a higher or lower rwkw figure, they will give you a incorrect figure, ideally to achieve a accurate figure your looking at a 1:1 gear. mostly but not always 4th

If you increase the revs on takeoff you have to increase the torque as well because you're doing the same speed. It's basically the same as having a shorter gear ratio.
