I think the reason that you buy their product and pay the extra asking price is because they actually have RESULTS that are PROVEN for each of their kits.

With other aftermarket shops, you can really only go buy hear say.

I, personally, would rather pay an extra $100.00 for a cam where JMM can show me what sort of power gains other Falcons have got from it, then save $100.00 and buy a cam from another place that can't tell me what sort of power gains can be expected.

With the red EB. Who cares if it's not street driven or legal?

At least JMM are out there having a go...

why are you guys bagging a company thats trying to make the falcon i6 heard on the street. they could of switch over to holden where theres more aftermarket parts to play with.

They have a good product. its just that its over priced & also need to work on their lousy PR skills.

Go alted!........I mean JMM.

because they charge too much. and are rude pricks on the phone..

ute boy. i was only quoting the prices on there website.
the whole point is that the ute is a hack. it's representive of what the average fordmoder would drive. and so the times are more representive of what you should expect if you fitted that kit to your car.

of course if you want to go faster do what they did with the EB. but dont expect to be able to drive the car hard through corners

ask the people on here how mauch power they got. most of them who have used some one elses dyno fill tell you the power figures they say you will get are far from realistic and fall very short.

there is a reason alot of places will not tell you how much power you will get. Every car is different, they all react in a different way. they all have a different starting point. quoting power numbers is the easyest way to end up with a disapointed customer. and if you under quote the power you run the risk of loosing the job because some bloke up the road says for the same money he can get X amount more.

True true.

If they quoted say between 130 to 160rwkw for their DEV 5 Kit maybe it wouldn't be to bad. but claiming 170rwkw is abit of false advertising.

I'd rather pay that much money for a mild street/strip full rebuild from someone else then just a quick head job.

hit the nail on the head their tickford_6

cams and headwork dont determine power output on their own, how many kms the motor has done comes into it, weather the motor has been maintaned, and of course all dynos read different. I to have heard JMMs dynos are set a bit higher and you can get 170rwkw on his dyno, then 160rwkw round the corner at another dyno.

Only reason Im dark on JMM is caused he talked s**t into a blokes ear that was gonna buy the dev kit off me so he could get the $3000 intead of me getting it. But thats another story.

And also when originally purchasing the kit It took 1.5 months to get to me, and when my mate picked it up for me jim said 'oh we didnt think he needed it right away so we just took our time'.

Yes but if you read there catalogue it clearly states that the power gains listed are the "maximum" expected and that they can vary depending on the base motor, condition etc etc.

Besides TICKFORD-6 (who obviously has had a bad run with JMM) has dealt with JMM before, purchased and used their product and have been upset with it?

Anyone?

It sounds like a-lot of people aren't happy with JMM. I must say, I did get ripped on a clutch by them.

Not a good move to piss the Fordmodders off. One post could end a lot of business....

JMM have never ripped me off before... Only because the way they have treated me over the phone I've never bought from them :D . I have had a friend or two that have been taken for a ride by JMM though, one of them had spent well over $10,000 and was still treaded like a dog in the end..

as some of you know i am selling my dev5 kit, all brand new. I had a buyer lined up with a hybrid motor for it to go on. Just to be sure this bloke rang up jim mock, no worries about that, he is more than entitled to do so, i would to if in his position. But then jim mock has gone and told this bloke that he does the AU port jobs a little bit different, and that for the extra $500 he should get it done properly.

Now im no mechanic, or ford know it all for that matter, but i was under the impression that from EF - AU there wernt any huge differences in the bottom end, the only thing (major) that that made an EF motor an EF motor, and an AU motor an AU motor, was the head/cam setup.

Now if this is true, pulling the AU head gear off, and putting the EF head gear on, makes the hybrid motor, basically an EF motor.
The cam is matched to the head that comes with the package, and the rocker setup. So what does it matter about AU port jobs. Maybe they are different, but it wont really be an AU motor anymore. If it was an EF cam going into an AU head, i could understand the problem, but its not!!

The new cam will work in the new head as if it was being bolted onto an EF XR6, or any EF for that matter.

Someone please correct me if im wrong, but at the moment im fuming as i reckon jim is speakin out his a**, as he wants $3000, and will tell any s**t story to get it. JMM motorsport are not getting any business off me ever again, and this confirms some peoples opinions that i have heard, that he is an arrogant, f**k wanker.

End Rant.

You're a legend aren't you mate?

All you ever seem to post is negative s**t!!!

If YOU don't like JMM. WHO CARES!!! Get the hell over it! Stop ranting and let the people who enjoy their JMM product enjoy it without you trying to taint their gear. All your doing is trying to make JMM and his product sound like crap, which is s**t!

My comment about the clutch was, perhaps, a little hasty.

I was under the impression that if you bought something from them and it was faulty in the first 12 months, it would be replaced or refunded. Now, I couldn't prove that clutch was faulty and I thought that it may have been a dodgy install as I had to take it back into the "mechanic" THREE TIMES as it kept slipping, the cruise wouldn't work and so on...
Now, I'm a pretty honest bloke and told JMM this and he said he couldn't justify a full refund but did, however, knock a chuck off the price of a replacement clutch. Which I was happy with.

Next time I post, would you like me to justify each post and explain to you why I post my comment and the details???
