Hi guys i'm building a xflow for a speedway car and the cam is open so i hove found this cam going pretty cheap. just wanted to know what people thoughts are and any cams that anyone els is running.. my motor list so far..

board 40"
40" over flat tops
Head has hasnt been been shaved yet but i was thinking about 60" off..
ported both and polished on the exhaust side
rolla rockers
ported intake manifold
350 holley with a 500 base
extractors
3" exhaust
MSD 6al 2 programmable so the dissy will be graphed to suit the cam
new everything

i was thinking of getting better push rods but not sure how to get them from..

any help with any upgrades anyone can think of would be a great help

Anti-pump up lifters ???...or is the cam a solid grind ???
What oil pump ??? STD or HV.
Are you going to run an engine oil cooler ???
Have you got a double row roller timing chain set ???
Electric fuel pump ???...with pressure regulator ???
Better pushrods are a must.
Need valve springs to suit the cam.
Chrome-Moly collets and retainers would be good too.
A 600 four barrel would be a better carby with centre float bowls, and dual feeds for the fuel.
Down where the lifters live in the block, smooth out the rough edges so the oil drains better from the head.
High performance harmonic balancer ???
Fully balanced engine is the go too.

i havent picked the cam yet still trying to work out which is going to be the best.. STD oil pump yes for the engine cooler yes double row chain yes holley blue pump and holley reg what r some better push rods to use springs will get with the cam package and i can only run the 350 holley on a standard manifold thats the rules. i will do with the oil drain and i would like to run no balancer and get the engine re balanced but i don't think i can so i will get a ross one or something like that

Can you run a 500 Holley then ????
Crow should have some pushrods to suit.
Fairly sure you need a Balancer....for the harmonics created in the crank and from the cam.
