This is the Ute, an XF with CAI, using a Landcruiser airfilter, soon to be swapped to a K&N unit. Works well, so far, has 600 vac sec Holley, Crow cam, moded elect dizzy, portmatched inlet & exhaust, ported & polished cyl head, 10:1 comp ratio, uses PULP, doesn't ping or get hot.
Has yet to be put on the dyno and see what she does.

1st & 2nd massive wheel spin, and chirp into 3rd. Has singlerail 4sp, 2.92 LSD with 235/45R17 on it.
I forgot to mention that it has adjustable roller rockers, (hence 2 rocker cover gaskets), and double valve springs.

Nice work mate. 600 is an awfully big carb for a 250 tho. Have you tried a 465 on it? We used a 465 on a very well worked 250 in a TE and it performed extremely well. Like I said tho: Very nice.

It also has a 3" exhaust that splits into 2 over the diff.

The Ute has been a work in progress for a while. Its not mine, its my bosses ute, he asked me to make it go better than it did. He got ripped by some other bloke who built the engine.
So, I said the cam needs to be bigger, carby needs to be bigger, higher flowing exhaust, modified dizzy, roller rockers, no engine fan, modified the mechanical fuel pump so it is 3/8' inlet and 3/8" outlet and drilled out internally, and next is a diff ratio change, and a T5 box too. Haven't taken it to the drags yet, but it will see a dyno before that. Here's a pic with the Hornet scoop off.

Hmmmm... Would of though carb and zorst were a bit oversized...
Nice looking ute for one of the Falcons ugliest models. |

The cam is fairly large, runs 10:1 comp ratio, and doesn't ping on PULP, running about 14dgs @ idle and idle speed is about 900rpm.
It doesn't even run on when you turn it off, that did surprise me, coz I was expecting that.
