Or you could just bore them out and use EA-EL oversize pistons....

Just one's made to fit bored out motors. Probably available in 20, 40 and 60 thou oversize. The latter I'd say would be bring the motor up to around 4.1L.

ok i had a quik look for you. the compression hieghts of the pistons are wrong. about the only one that could be used is the piston for the 250 with 200 rods, in an AU if you take 1mm of the deck hieght. that piston is a 2 ring piston not a 3 ring piston

voxace... you have an AU motor yeah?? want some big cubes?? nudge nudge

Stroking would be a mistake as the stroke is already very long...

Unless you only like revving to 3 grand.

ford i6's cant be storked as they already have the maximum stroke available, however i've seen a few people on here with about 4.3l capacity by using oversized pistons.

increasing the cubic inch doesnt do much for the horsepower at all, usually some more torque but not a whole lot of horsepower.

okay so you could setup a block for like 4.2 litre and would you need to do anything to the head??

any way you could get some 253 4.2litre badges cleaned up and replace the 4.0 or 3.9 badges on the side

wots your obsession with more cubes? for the ammount of time and effort required and the results..... SFA..... why even bother. if you want more power: extractors, zorst, cam, turbo, etc or if you want more cubes: V8!!!!

shows how much you know.......

the 4L i6 already has a stroke of 3.9 inches.

3.5inch stroke would pull it back to 3.6L

by the way rod length and bore arrangment have no effect on cubes

you want cubes for an I6.

40 thou over flat top cross flow pistons (250 with 200 rod ACL)
6 inch chev rods with 2inch big end.
that will put the piston 40thou down.
now you use your 2inch big end to give the metal to offset grind the crank 1mm give 2mm extra stroke and bringing the piston to zero deck hight.

that will bring the 244 cube I6 out to around 260 cubes. and give a rod/stroke of 1.5

but on anything but the most hardcore of race engine it's a waste of money
