ok a few weeks ago my compressor siezed so i had a new one fitted. while fitting they noticed the tx valve was stuffed so fitted a new one a new dryer gas and dye

the problem was it wasnt cooling very well on hot days the air vent temp was like 18 degreese. anyway took it back and they said that mabe the new tx valve is faulty and that they would change it again. but he said if that didnt fix it that i would be up for a new condensor.

if the condensor is not leaking y change it????? am i getting taken for a ride??
plz help...

The condensor may be blocked with bugs etc, thus preventing good airflow through it. Will have an effect on the efficiency of the whole system. It may need changing or you maybe able to clean it.

Then it sounds as though they are clutching a straws. If they change everything sooner or later they will fix the faulty part. After all they don't care your the one paying for it. Sometimes I wonder if these types of people know anything about troubleshooting.

If the problems still there after they change the TX valve again, ask them why they think its the condensor.

some times the condenser can get blocked on the inside, un likely but can happen, is the thermo fan working when ac turned on. if the condenser is blocked then the high side would read really high along with the low side.

also i have seen where people have over charged the system make sure theres not to much gas in it.

Being a closed system whats it going to block up with?
I thought the standard practice is to fill them by weight these days?

they can fall apart inside if old. also if a compressor seizes up it can leave particals in the system that block it.
yeah there filled using a scale on the bottle but whos to say the scale is right or that the sticker on the bonnet is the right one!

cool yeah the thermo fans go on high

umm when they changed the compressor and found the faulty tx valve they said it had erratic pressures when they changed the tx valve he said it had good pressures.

he ran it for about 30 min and all looked ok because it was a cold day it worked good. but when it gets hot outside it's bad.

umm so if there was an internal block it would be picked up by bad pressures?????

does any one know in regards to ef thermo fans

they stay on high till the aircon gets to 7 deg then cut back to low after this there dosnt seem to be enough airflow to keep cooling and the temp rises to 12 deg then they come on high.

this means the ac never gets cold enough to cycle while idleing

I'd be checking the heater tap as well, is it closing fully or are you getting mixed air out of the vents? The A/C system might not be at fault.
