Hi everyone,

I am replacing a dead box and motor with a good second one in a I6 EL Falcon. I took the air con compressor off the old one to put on the newer motor and in the process some bright yellow oil came out of the compressor. Am I to top this up and if so, how do I do that and with what oil. FF guys don't seem to know.

Many thanks!

iirc. 2 ounces of PAG oil is what is needed when installing a 'dry' compressor.

I've always added 1 ounce in the ones I've replaced, and no im not in the AC game.

normally if you tell the guys that are re gassing your air con that the system is empty/ has been opened they will add the pag oil at the same time as the gas..
as the oil is carried through the system by the gas...
