I have all the parts I need for the conversion (minus airbox) but I have a problem

I bought an EL cop computer to run the show but I dont have smartlock. The plan was to do a dash conversion so that I have smartlock.

Question- Do i really have to do a complete dash conversion or can I just use the wiring out of the donor dash for the EL computer. The donor dash is out of an EF futura so it has the mid series BEM (blue one). Also what is the smartlock system a combination of? i.e. is it ignition barrel +something else?

What i would like to do is get the wiring out of the donor dash and have it hard wired so that it always shows the computer what the computer wants to see so that it will allow the car to start when i turn the key, any idea how to go about this?



BTW i also bought an EA MPi computer but I want to run the EL cop computer because it is optimised for the BBM I dont see the point in spending this much time to just do a half job.

from what i know the smartlock is part of ecu/bem and key barrel

best off putting in the entire dash and loom from the futura then u can run the el cop ecu

if i put in the entire dash i will have to change the door skins as well which wont match my interior. I CBF doing an entire interior swap when all i want is more economy and torque. Plus its all extra $$
