G'day just wondering if anyone knows what sort of power these cars are making and what is actualy done to them?

The only thing i no is they run the Pacemakers comps on the AU

its very controlled I m pretty sure thay use ems ecu's, a control cam, ithink the only thing they can play with is the exhuast

I think its around 250hp at the wheels

you mean saloon's as CAMS racers or saloons as speedway.

i assume you mean the earlier?

CNC porting only and a Crow SEN 6000 cam, dont look for it on the web page, it aint there.


Edit, OOPS My bad the SEN6000 was for the E series saloon car.

is it possible to get that cam or is it pointless for a street car?

yeah its all secret club stuff isnt it? if you ask a saloon racer, they go all weird and change the subject and say they have to go put the baby out and change the cat and stuff. plus theres mysteriously a red dot on your head until you stop the questioning....... :?

lol really, are they surpose to be the quickest NA 6's or somthing?

I might give crow a call becuase i have the AU head, maybe they might sell me one maybe they wont, w'l see

id say it would be pointless to get that cam for a street car.

Power band will probably be something like 4000-7000 rpm
plus you will need an after market ECU.

yeah i dont use that sort of power band, and would never be able to rev to 7000rpm. i want somthing 3000-to-redline for an AU head

yeah the tech rules is the first place you should start. plus, besides the engine, making a 1600kg falcon go around corners is the hard bit. upping HP is easy.

espesially in racing. just do what the guys at the front of the pack do. obviously its working well for them.

with the ecu and cam, i imagine the idle would be hidious, but for a race car its irrelivent anyway

I never heard of this s**t before, they can barely be modified, whats the point of it? Is it just like a scaled down v8 supercar competition, only with 6's and no mods?
