gday i have searched this already but there are to many mixed opinions about this topic so i just want to know if i can bolt the e series lets say an ef rocker gear and a wade 1636 cam onto my au head or will i have to use au pedistals or is the ratio to much for the au valves????

i hear similar things from different ppl. so i dont know. one guy said he bent 12 valves from it. others have told me that its made their car a rocket. so i dont know

you cant do it!

the AU cam cant fit as where it sits on the head is a different size

im guessing you are trying to make use of the greater rocker ratio on the au's

no i want to use an e series cam in my au is what i'm trying to say. I'm asking what i need to do to make it work if it will

Yeah, this is where i get confused. you say yes, they say no.

so why are some people coming back with a head full of bent valves and some arnt?

that may be because when there changing there cams some are not changing there rocker gear over..

afaik
if you use a series cam with au rocker gear you will bend your valves..(or it may be the other way around)
if you fit a e series cam you need to fit the e series rockers aswell..
