Had another go this afternoon and got it first time, just using my "brain" as a timer. It came up with a segment test then 19 different screens then a 'ford' sign. Now just have to work out what they all do, though most screens look the same as the EF/EL ones.

I did it just like the instructions said. I think the timing is very important. I must have assed it seeing as I did it without a clock.

Now that we have found out about it I wonder if there is a way to get fault codes out of the climate control and ECM without having the NGS tester.

A big thankyou goes out to Jeff - aka AU2SR for the Diagnostic Info !
Full credit must go to him for providing this information to Fordmods and Fuzion, and allowing Fordmods to publish this in the documents section of the site !

As for the EF/EL Diagnostics page, that is again up and running on the site

http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/documents.php?doc=12
More documents are on the way.... Although we are still having problems with our image processor for the documents section (Unfortunately No time to fix it at the moment) but at least we are moving forward with getting the original documents back up on the site....

Stay tuned for more......

 no probs just dont ask where i got it .

It's taken me about 5 goes to get the ford mode. Some of the readouts are on the fairmont C/C panel. If you press the off & vent buttons together on the C/C panel it resets the panel and shows some of what appeared on the cluster. I have no idea on what some of the numbers going up & down e.g 108, 109, 110 :?: mean.

Hi dave on the c/c panel if you press on the right side the OFF button & the button with the pic of a person sitting (vent) 5th button on your left together it shows up all tech info thats in the panel & I think it resets it. Also some off this information appeared on the dash cluster when I eventually got the dash into mode.

Dave being a mechanic you would have a better understanding of what this all means. I'am ok with the spanners but tech stuff is a bit hard on the old bloke
