If you want to fit the AU (+36 offset) wheels without using spacers, you will need to fit the AU K-Frame. No small job on its own. If you have no welding of fabrication skills, don't attempt it.

Use the EL Engine mounts.. Leave them in there if you can. Lots of buggering around if you have the motor just about in there before you realize the mounts are different and you probably should have kept reading the thread where someone already says "hey btw.. if you try and use AU mounts you're gonna have a problem" BEFORE hand. I ended up modifying the nut that gets in the way.. Grinders are capable of many things.

Do all you can when the motor is out (Welch plugs, Gaskets, Rear main seal, I even replaced sump gasket (pricey though)

And as for the sump.. according to most people on here you can get it done for around $150. I paid $350 and that was the lowest anyone seemed to go. Most of them laughed/hung up on me. And i still had to listen to the guy i used whinge about how hard it was because the oil had soaked into the aluminum or something.

Have a heap of fun with it (i did!)

But the biggest tip: Don't do this conversion if you have no other means of getting around. I did and relied on my parents car.. Which blew up the same day i took the motor out of mine (it was a Holden Vectra anyway) This ended up affecting everyone in the household (1 car left and 3 people working)

Also.. The AU wheels idea.... yeah don't.
