Hey, just after prices for an AU engine with low km's in melb... I'm thinking of putting one into the EF which is a bit tired, and wondering wether to do it here (swan hill) where i could get my mates dad (mechanic) to put it in cheaper than any other mechanic, but the motor here would cost more i would imagine, havn't got around to checking the local wreckers yet...or wait till next year when i move to melb for uni, where the engine would probably be cheaper but i wouldnt know a mechanic to put it in cheaper.. any prices? opinions?

im unsure of prices for a full motor, but you do know that an au into an ef isnt a straight swap, you need to modify the crossmember to make the sump fit.

Its actually easier to modify the sump to fit the cross member. I see your from swan hill... maybe take it to eyles engineering they may be able to modify if you tell hem what you need.
