It's a re-grind, i think it should be good for about 160rwkw with the chip. Id say 190rwkw would be pushing it. I think the engine would have to be pretty worked to get that figure not just cam and chip.

looking at that again and comparing to my dyno graph, it looks similar to urs till the bbm butterflys switch over, makes about 120 at 4000rpm then 124 at 5, only a 4kw gain, so u can see how much that cam has increased ur top end

Looking at your sig, you dont have extractors. I'd say you would pick up a fair bit at the top end if you had them.

yeah i dont, but its way to loud atm with no mufflers so with extractors it would be crazy.

I had an el which made 190rwkw on a stock bottom end. That was until my ex took off with my best mate and took the car with her. It had a full dev 5kit and with the race series headers, it had an xr6 computer but no chip. This figure was backed up on three other dynos. The next step was to do the injectors I was told they were at 90% duty cycle but never got there.

Im getting another cam done from Wadecams, it's 2 stages up from the 1502AU cam, it's the 1645AU cam. I will be getting a Unichip put it at the same time so it should go pretty hard

R/Ratio in1.8 Ex1.8
Cam lift, Duration Adv, Duration@50, Cam Lift tdc, Phase
Intake 284, 266, 205, 0.5112, 114,
Exhaust 284, 266, 205, 0.5112,

I think its equivilent to the 977B in the E-series

just out of interest, how much will the cost be on cam chip and tune, and also whats this cam worth alone?

also doesnt a 977b require a manual? will this au grind work in an auto?

my guess it wont run real flash until he gets some shorter diff gears &/or higher stall. Everything down low will be lost....

Yeah i went to the workshop an spoke to them, they are thinking of making a mixgrind for me, something like the cam i have at the moment for the intake and the 1645 for the exhaust so i dont loose to much down low.

The cam is the usual price from wade for a regrind. The unichip is just under 1300 dyno tuned. I think you can get like SCT Flashtuners alot cheaper for the AU and they do they same thing if not more and they are around 800-900 fitted.

cheers mate, im thinking the same, dont wanna loose to much bottom end cylinder fill by opening up the intake too much. let me know what they call this grind and how it goes, should be sweet as with the highflowing paccies and 2.5. Ive already got a flash tuner in my room, waiting for the day that the pipes and cam go on.

By using a dual pattern cam, you will only gain if your exhaust port doesnt flow well enough. These heads even when stock flow quite good, so i'd advise if you want a little more duration & lift, then use a single pattern cam which makes more power....

not quite sure what your saying since cam science might as well be written in swahilli to me, but as far as i can gather without bringing timing into it, the longer the duration and higher the lift the better for top end? but worse for bottom end?

single pattern cam = same specs intake & exhaust

Dual pattern cam = different specs intake & exhaust

single pattern cam = nice power with good flowing heads

dual pattern = best cam choice for heads with poor flowing exhaust ports

Ok im not getting a mix grind anymore. We have decided that i will loose to much down low from that cam and i will be going with the 1671AU which is similar to the 1673. I will be getting the cam next week

Cheers
