hi all quick question can a au head gasket be reused and if so wat prep do u need to do to it

no. and ive been told to use gasket goo on new ones to for extra seal. gaskets r cheap.

no its not like a rocker cover gasket

dont use gasket goo on AU head gaskets

I wouldn't be using gasket goo on it. Maybe ACL Holymer or something like that maybe...

I used to use #3 on all decks/heads when i worked in the shop.
But later it proved to be more of a pain if the gasket goes again.

All the std gaskets have some baking agent and don't need additional sealant.
AU's should in theroy solve the head problems.

ok thks for that how much for a au head gasket in aussie was quated 398 here in nz

$398 for a gasket? I knew the NZ dollar wasnt worth much but i didnt think it was that bad ;)

your probably getting quoted on the kit there. The gaskets here are less than $100 im sure
