I believe not. The rocker gear and camshaft are different to E-series heads.

phong =P~

pritty sure its not.

had one guy tell me changing the arms or the pedistles (cant remember which) and all is good. cant find the thread tho.

i've also been told that if you were able to fit it, you'd have a head full of bent valves.

putting the e series cam in with the original gear is bad tho, it makes it sit high and will actually bow and snap the rocker train. (personal experience)

I think it can provided the rocker gear and the cam are from the same motor. The AU Rocker has a different ratio to the EL(non hybrid) and earlier motors. The only issue might be clearance of the springs if putting Au gear onto an EF/EL the other way should be OK.

it does work I have seen AU heads with E series rocker gear running e series cams, all that happens is the rocker geometry is changed to allow the e series cam, however I am pretty certain the later e-series rocker gear is needed, EF/EL. cam jurnals should be the same size, I have also seen au cam and rocker gear in an EB not a head swap just cam and rocker gear.

I can confirm it works as I have this setup in my car.

You need AU rocker pedestals with EB-EL rocker arms and shafts. I'm running the old RPD rspec 4 cam in an ED engine with AU head, and besides a couple of snapped valve springs I haven't had any problems.

Never had a problem until I upgraded to the rspec 4 cam. Running 0.600" lift @ 6200rpm is very demanding on valve springs.

theres a lot of 'may' and 'could' and other words of such.

it doesnt inspire confidance. however i'd like to try it if i could get my hands on a e series cam (and i have a rock solid guarantee from ppl here)

weeman, have you guys had problems with the au style ecu getting messed with the cam? heard that it doesnt really like the cam changes

Car / Engine is an ED running an AU head. Stock setup with AU head ran fine with the ED ECU, however I'm now running a megasquirt ECU with the larger cam.

ah, not what i was looking for. i've been told that a au engine and ecu wont accept a cam change easy.
