hey guys just a stupid sat night question, is the e series ef/el six the same as the au six and will their computers match up? thinking bout upgrading soon but like ef shape cheers. :lol:

pretty similar AU has bigger ex valves in the head and better bottom end maybe.

EF and AU ecu's pretty similar and el has the old distributor.

the later model el's like the late 98 one has the hybrib motor in it which basically comprises of an au head being on it as for the computer no they will not match up at all as the au runs active data control and will most definately conflict with things in an e series thats not to say tho that u cant put an au motor in cause obviously u can and there is no need to change the computer
