so if you pull the rockers off ( in 1 piece )
to take the cam out and you forgot which way they go on
can the exhaust go on the intake and vice versa?
according to the book one of the rockers have a slight bend in them but
the ones on this engine do not

also the engine runs fine ( bar excessive fuel use )
and the rockers line up with the tops of the valves

cheers!

The front cam bridge can only go on 1 way, it has off-set bolt holes.

Frank will find a way to make a square peg go into a round hole and f**k it all in the process.

Your welcome,

What was wrong with the head? Was the head removed?
I would be checking the cam timing first.
Then I would be checking for any vacuum leaks, at the inlet manifold (was the gasket replaced if removed?), vacuum lines, PVC hoses, map sensor hose and make sure everything is hooked up, o2 sensor ect.
Injectors are unlikely to make a car run that rich all of a sudden.

welsch plug under cam corroded = head off job
( car was bought this way )
cam timing is spot on the car fired up on 1st turn as in 1 sec or under of cranking
then again it COULD be out...
au i6 no map sensor its a TMAP :P
o2 sensor new, same as plugs/leadsl/fuel filter ill start another thread
